1. Another branch in the Gong family tree, Gongzilla was a reassembly of several of the members of Pierre Moerlen's Gong and played a similar jazz-rock fusion. Formed in by guitarist Ben Lozaga and bassist Hansford Rowe, the group was completed with guitarist Allan Holdsworth, percussionist Bobby Thomas Jr., and vibraphonist Beniot Moerlen.

2. GONGZILLA is a rightful extension of the larger GONG family tree. This debut album includes Bon Lozaga ("Time Is The Key," "Leave It Open," "Pierre Moerlen's Gong Live") and Hansford Rowe ("Time Is The Key up to "Full Circle Live '88") and Benoit Moerlen ("Gazeuse" to "Leave It Open.").

7. The Gongzilla release Live was recorded direct to 2-track at a festival in Quebec City, Canada, on June 27, , with drummer Vic Stevens, who played on the Gongzilla debut CD Suffer. In the Gongzilla tradition of innovative guest guitarists, this show also featured NYC guitarist and composer David Fiuczynski, who previously played with Stevens on a record by his band Mistaken Identity.
